Sam Zakaria wants to live in a world where teachers are treated as professionals and students are free to exceed the expectations of those they meet in the learning process, including Sam. As a teacher, administrator, and local entrepreneur Sam has been honored as a teacher of the year nominee, teacher of the year, Advanced Placement Human Geography District Review lead, OneSpark 2015 Creator, and as a teacher who was consistently recognized as helping students achieve a high level of success. Sam has been featured in The Times Union newspaper as a teacher, and on Ignite Media and the Jacksonville Magazine for his community service in North Florida. When he’s not at school or with his wife and 6-year-old twins, you can find him reading about technology or attempting to get his family to the beach for a quick surf session. His latest project is Education — a weekly newsletter for Educators and Technophiles. Find out about Sam and his after hours efforts in the community on Twitter samz@greaterthan1000
